Hello all.... for years we have all been disgruntled, threatened, stressed and just worn out of the apparent cheating that goes on in Pimpin... namely due tot he cycling rule.

What is cycling?
Cycling is when players purposefully attack other players to steal their thugs/hies/cash - effectively transferring those assets from one player to another.

It is a co-ordinated attack between two or more pimps that is strictly forbidden in our game.

The problem is proving that a set of attacks was a co-ordinate cycle - it's impossible to prove with 100% certainty.

Yes I know all you pimps use your subjective decision making to come up with conclusions that players have cycled but as admins we need objective HARD EVIDENCE.... without a doubt evidence... not gut feelings.

Now I created this thread to get some discussion happening.

I have always said we need to remove the rule from the game, somehow. Whether that be just removing it and allowing people to cycle or changing parts of the game so that cycling is harder to do.... for example we could modify attacks so less is stolen or perhaps you can only attack a number of times in a certain period of time,

I don;t know what the answer is but as a community we need to come up with something because this has been ruining the game for years.

from memory we have tried the gaining less from attacks and to be honest that sucked balls, attacking is what makes the game fun and that really killed it.

in a game like this without a mod being around 80% of the time you basically cant stop it.

This is my point.... even if a mod was here 100% of the time its still impossible to prove. There are situations where attacks are made but its not cycling but it could look dodgy.

HNBC messaged me in game and made a good point.... any attack can be seen as a cycle whether it was intentional or not because it is the transferring of assets from one player to the next.

So what this rule is really about is planned attacks between two players, but how do you prove that? It's impossible.

Without a mod around, there is not way to be 100% certain someone is cycling.

Everyone has there suspicions... GREAT!!!!.. but no one can 100% prove or defend a claim because the game is built around subjectiveness (is there such a word)

The key reasons for cycling and how people get away with it...

1. we had a falling out so i hit him for my team mates (ohhh but that pimp was holding shitloads of cash / unhappy hoes not dissed)

a) to counter this, check history of dissing... why was the pimp not dissed... does the pimp usually watch their account religiously (there are a few, where you hit them and within minutes they are on recovering) if these pimps are accused of cycling, how come for that 5 minute window they were holding so much cash / so low on diss but never recovered right away.

2. Follow on from 1. If a pimp has a falling out, why are they not booted from the crews they are probably in with the same pimp in other rounds?? this has always amazed me.

3. People who spend big always have a better opportunity to explain their actions then someone who does not, this might sound far fetched annd admins wont like it, but to be honest... its the damn truth.. supporters of the game i believe are given a better chance and some probably take advantage of this fact.

i cant think of anymore reasons at the mo.

if you was banned for good from the game for cycling / cheating / whatever the big spenders would go elsewhere... everyone knows the unlimited rounds is what keeps this game alive... hence why the prizes are awesome but no prizes in other rounds.

Cycling will always happen in much worse cases in LIMITED rounds because turns are a premium, if a pimp gets massive real quick, it always raising suspicion on cheating.

The only advice is, stick with your gut feeling admins... if you think they cycled then they probably did... if you not sure, then they probably didnt.

Dizz I love the way you make that sound so easy.... the fact of the matter is its impossible to have someone here just watching the game then spending hours going through logs to see what happened and even then it doesnt prove anything 100%.

Yes we may make a decision to jail someone but you guys dont see the abuse we cop and the threats.

Surely, if someone hasnt dissed then is zeroed, but been online scouting etc etc, thats a tell tail sign of cycling?

What bout the crew thing... "we had a falling out" doesnt rub with me...

if they truly had a fallingout wouldnt they kick them from their crew in other rounds of PDU..

INdeed it is.. you will never get 100% correct ruling everytime.. its impossible.. i am trying to give you all the reasons and ways to catch people and u seem to be defending it.

Whats do you want

cycling for all or to catch these rats and ban them??
